Chris Bull (guitar)

After acquiring a taste for music at an early age Chris can remember the first record bought for him by his elder brother at the age of 7, it was Johnny Leyton. Many more were to follow such as Brian Highland, Del Shannon and many others.

Chris had his first guitar in 1967 at the age of 12. It was a Rossetti Lucky Seven bought by his parents for £7.10 and that's where it all started. At about the same time there were bands around such as The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, The Pretty Things and The Bakerloo Line

By 1970 the rock/blues and progressive sound were on the music scene. At this time Chris was 15 and already trying to emulate his favourite guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Rory Gallagher.

By 1971 Chris was working as a junior draughtsman in the day and either playing or roadying for bands most nights. Over the next few years Chris performed with a number of bands and also formed an allegiance with his brother's band who were touring on the pro circuit with major bands at the time.

In 1974 Chris decided he was fed up and disillusioned with the music scene and decided to pursue another career where he stayed for the next 22 years. During this time he still kept the odd guitar kicking around but never really played with other musicians until the early 90's.

From 1996 onwards Chris played with a few bands around Lincolnshire including a top Lincolshire folk rock band, opening for such bands as Steeleye Span, The Oyster Band and many others. Over the past couple of years due to ill health Chris has restricted his playing to his own studio and various projects.
