Paul Lusby (vocals)

Schooled in Hull during the 1960's & 70's Paul's early musical interests were in The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. With wages saved from a paper round, he bought a non-descript drum kit and started a band with 3 school friends. Influenced by Cream and Jimi Hendrix but with very little ability, the band played at school end of year dances and the occasional youth club dance night.

With the school days over and the drum kit (to his parents' relief!), involvement in music became restricted to seeing as many bands as he could afford. Paul regularly watched local bands such as Methusela (from Scunthorpe, later becoming Amazing Blondel) and The Rats (from Hull and later became David Bowie's Spiders From Mars). He also attended many concerts, enjoying the music of bands such as Pink Floyd, Taste (Rory Gallagher), Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Free, Derek & The Dominoes (Eric Clapton) to name but a few.

Paul has always enjoyed a diverse mixture of musical styles throughout the 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's such as Slade, Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs....

In 1999 Paul discovered that singing at karaoke evenings brought a favourable reception from the audience. On the strength of this he bought a small PA and some backing tracks for a range of pop and rock songs and started as a solo singer, performing in local pubs and private functions.

Always wanting to fulfil his childhood dream of being in a rock band, Paul joined Unfinished Business in February 2009 when Bob Fenwick decided to leave.
